New Year. New You- Stress Free
The new year is here. Time to begin working on a new you. It’s a new you that can be stress free.
What’s great about the new year is that it opens up new possibilities. The new year is a time for renewal. It’s a time when we can decide to change ourselves for the better. The beauty of the New Year is that it opens new possibilities for living.
Life is constant change. As much as it seems that we stay the same we are constantly evolving, growing, and metamorphosing into something completely different. What will be your evolution? Will you choose to change yourself for the better? Or will you let yourself be a victim to the hailstorms of life.
For myself, I choose to make a change for the better. You can too. You can choose to grow in a new and beautiful way.
Let me give you four quick points of how to make the change for a Stress Free New Year.
#1: Decide to change
Now when I say decide to change that might seem overly simple. We all know that we have to make a decision before we can change .
But it needs to be a solid decision. By this I mean that you need to put your decision to really change out until the world. Think hard about it. No simple new years resolutions. Make it real, substantial, and write it down. Put it on paper. Or be even braver tell someone whose opinion you value about the change
Tony Robbins the great self-help guru would say that unless you make it embarrassing or painful to live it down- you won’t be as likely to follow through with a decision to change. So your decision to change has to be rock solid.
#2: Find a Method for Change that Works.
When you thinking about getting stress-free you want to find a method that you know can work. One of the reasons I published testimonials from real people have used to have used my methods is that you can know that it will indeed work
Without a method or a plan of change that is based in real world results, you are not going to be successful.
It’s critical that you have a step-by-step plan that really works There are many different forms of stress reduction. Search around and begin looking. You can find a method that does have the items that I suggested are critical. If you don’t know where to look consider taking a look at my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/WholeHeartedCardiologist. If you click on the button, “Free Stress Relief,” I’ll send you a free report that will give you a blue print for change.
In my book, Your Blueprint for Lasting Stress Relief, I outline the essential steps needed for overcoming stress. http://overcomeyourdailystress.com/ is another site that will give you some Free video training for overcoming stress.
So whatever you choose, find a plan that works.
#3: Decide to Live From the Heart
One of the most effective ways to combat stress is to make the decision to live more from the heart
The work that I’ve been doing for the last 20 years is all about the heart. I’m a heart doctor, but in addition to this I’ve helped hundreds of people learn how to heal sadness, anxiety, emotional pain, and just plain old stress from their hearts- just by teaching people how to how to connect more fully to their own heart . I also show them how to begin living more from the heart. .
It’s the staying in the heart that matters. The more you learn how to connect to your own heart and then to come from the heart and stay within this connected space the less stress you’ll feel. Stress won’t control you like it once did.
You’ll also be able to let go of stress more easily. Stress is going to be there. We can’t get away from stress. Stress is life. So even though we can’t run away from life, we can learn how to come more from the heart so that it doesn’t feel so stressful.
#4 Implement Your Plan
Once you’ve made the decision to change and you have a plan that you know can work for you- the next step is of course to implement it.
One of the biggest things I see when people want to change their life is that they don’t start immediately. Don’t allow yourself any time to start the plan. Don’t start next week. Don’t start next month. Don’t even delay for two hours. Not long ago I was sitting with someone had said to me that she was going to begin losing weight. Her comment was that she was committed to giving up eating sugary foods. I then watched as she put two chocolate chip cookies into her mouth. She smiled with embarrassment, “I’m starting tomorrow.” Needless to say, it never happened.
So begin implementing your plan immediately.
#4: Don’t quit and Don’t Stop starting.
Perseverance is essential for changing and habit. If yo want to make a change that will last, you need to never quit trying to change. I can’t tell you how many people I see as a heart specialist and stress reduction expert who finally make a lasting change. It isn’t always easy for them. The mindset that is required is to never stop starting. Even if you fail. If you want to learn how to reduce your stress then find a method that works and begin working it. Sometimes stress will get the better of you. Don’t quit. Just pick yourself up, return to your stress reduction methods and re-start the process of working on your stress. th
You have to tell yourself that you can do it. And you can. You can change the stress in your life. If you begin working more and more you can definitely do it.
These are my five tips for the new year to create a new you and the stress for you. I hope you found them helpful
